My water broke almost an hour before I felt any contractions. Is this really so rare?
I didn’t feel any contractions at all (not even pre-labor) until like an hour after my water broke. Everyone talks about the contractions happening first, and timing them, etc. My baby and I were fine, even though the labor was 36 hours long (yippee), I just wonder if this is so uncommon. I’ve never heard of it happening to anyone else.
It was exactly the same for me. I didn’t have ANY signs of labor up to 2 days before my due date. All of the sudden my water broke and my contractions didn’t start until we were in the hopsital (about 1-1.5 hours later)
